Mariam Balogun

Mariam is a first-year MPH graduate student specializing in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Brown School. With a work background as a Hospital Pharmacist, her research interests cut across pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance, health economics and outcomes research; and, healthcare policy and financing, During her time at the PRC, she will be working on a project with Prof. Amy Eyler to explore the knowledge of international graduate students regarding health insurance and the US health system. This will involve conducting focus groups and analyzing data. She will also be conducting literature searches and analyzing existing data to identify trends in gender equity in physical activity.
