Fabiola Pineda
Fabiola Pineda, an MPH graduate with a background in Pediatric Dentistry, has worked as a dentist in Honduras and Mexico. She earned her master’s degree in public health with a Generalist concentration from the Brown School, focusing her research on food insecurity, diabetes, obesity prevention, and physical activity. Fabiola served as a Peer Leader Mentor for international students at the Global Programs Office and currently collaborates with Professor Diana Parra. Their project focuses on physical activity promotion to prevent cancer in Latin America through implementation strategies of “Open Street” interventions. She also collaborates with the Washington University Mindfulness Research Cluster, and volunteers at the Ritenour Co-Care Food Pantry as well as a Church lector. Fabiola enjoys long walks with her husband and daughters, reading, and gluten-free baking.
