As Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) science grows, building strong research networks is essential. A new study maps how D&I researchers in the U.S. and Canada seek and share advice, revealing key connections and areas for improvement.
Surveying 482 researchers, this study found that experts provided the most advice, while early-career researchers and minoritized groups had fewer connections. Most advice exchanges (98%) happened within the same country, highlighting a need for stronger cross-border collaboration. The PRC’s own Rebekah R. Jacob, Stephanie Mazzucca-Ragan, and Ross C. Brownson helped lead this effort. Their findings stress the importance of expanding peer mentoring, especially for emerging and underrepresented researchers, to strengthen the field.
