Madisen Brewer is a Research Assistant on the AHD Partnership Study with Principal Investigator, Stephanie Mazzucca-Ragan, and Project Manager, Jess Gannon. The study aims to improve cancer prevention and control through academic-local public health department (ADH) partnerships. She is an MPH graduate from Lund University in Sweden. Her master’s thesis research explored the impact of overturning of Roe v. Wade, delving into the realities and perceptions of health care professionals in the St. Louis area. During her program, she temporarily moved to Berlin, Germany, and completed an internship with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin, BAuA).

Madisen graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Family Development. She joined the Psychology Department’s Preschool Promise research team, which focused on investigating children’s executive functioning skills in relation to their school readiness. Outside of her academics, she served on the executive committees for both Big Brothers Big Sisters and Zeta Tau Alpha, applying her creative skillset in digital media production to drive organization initiatives. Her free time is filled with many different things, from photography and Pilates to binge watching shows and exploring St. Louis with her friends.
