Michael Paster

Research Assistant

Michael Paster is a First-year MSW student and Research Assistant working with Deborah Salvo and Áine O’Connor on PARCS (Park Activity, Recreation and Community Study). His pursuits at the Brown School align with Mental Health and Domestic – Social & Economic Development. Michael graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelors, studying both Sociology and Education – Community Leadership, Policy, and Social Justice. His interests include participatory action research, community-based interventions, and the mental health of college-age adults. He enjoys the historical Black culture of his home neighborhood, Leimert Park, Los Angeles, appreciates architecture and loves quality time with friends and family.
