Project Manager

​Renee Parks, MS, is the Project Manager for the PRC’s Core Research Project, which seeks to develop and disseminate approaches that will increase the use of effective policies at the local-level to reduce health disparities. She previously managed the AIM-Local Health project, working with local health departments to enhance the use of evidence-based decision making and effective strategies for community health. Prior to this role, Renee had extensive experience with the development, implementation and evaluation of health promotion and prevention initiatives at community-based organizations and university settings. In those roles, she built and facilitated multi-agency coalitions and collaborations focused on comprehensive, systematic efforts for health. She obtained a Master of Science in Exercise Science & Wellness from Arizona State University. Renee’s professional interests include health equity, chronic disease prevention, and policy and environmental strategies for physical activity and healthy food. Renee enjoys spending time with her family, being active outdoors and exploring nature, and serving as a volunteer in her community.
