Breana Wayne is graduating with a Master of Public Health degree. Her plans after graduation include “to engage in multiple roles that align with my passions and career goals. I will work as a clinical research program coordinator and also serve as an EMT, gaining practical experience in medical settings. Additionally, I hope to volunteer in a children’s hospital to directly contribute to pediatric care, an area where my passion deeply lies. These experiences will be stepping stones towards pursuing an MD/PhD in pediatrics after two years, with a focus on specializations such as pediatric neurology, pediatric oncology, or pediatric cardiology.” Breana stated that her favorite part about working at the PRC has been “the incredible team and the relationships I’ve built with my colleagues. These connections have not only enriched my professional experience but also provided a supportive and collaborative environment. Additionally, the opportunity to engage with diverse communities across the United States has been particularly rewarding, allowing me to apply and expand my public health expertise in various settings and contribute meaningfully to community health initiatives.”

Masoomeh Faghankhani is graduating with a Master’s degree in Public Health. She will be starting the DrPH in Community and Behavioral Health program at the Colorado School of Public Health in Fall 2024. When asked about her favorite part of working at the PRC, she said ” Choosing a favorite aspect of working at PRC is challenging because of the myriad of positive experiences—from collaborative amazing projects and working with distinguished faculty to the egalitarian workspace with serene outdoor views, PRC events, and delightful three-Michelin-star-level pastries.
However, the standout feature for me has always been the deeply caring and communal spirit among PRCers. This collective ethos permeates every aspect of our work, focusing on mutual support and growth over individual success. PRC’s commitment to supporting the educational and professional journeys of their students was exemplary. Working at PRC transcends a typical job; it’s a masterclass in leadership and cultivating a humane workplace,
thanks largely to all PRCers, particularly my supervisor, Renee Parks, and my teammate, Breana Wayne, because of their contribution to my fulfilling experience at PRC.”
